Our pastured meat chickens are raised from Mid-April until Mid-October in the chicken tractors pictured above. They get moved daily so they can forage on new grass and eat any insects they can find. We feed them a non GMO grain as well.
They don't get any hormones or antibiotics and unlike factory produced chicken - they get to see the sun! A pasture raised chicken contains 50% more vitamin A compared to conventionally raised chickens. This nutrient plays an important role in supporting good vision, immune health and skin health. They are also found to have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids. There are studies that back up this information. We believe in producing a quality meat chicken that has a better life than those that never get to see the sun or grass or look for insects to eat.
